The mission of the Domenica Foundation is to help those who have slipped through the cracks of society. We firmly believe that being economically poor should not rob those of their hopes and dreams. We seek to be a stepping stool for those who need help, helping them to build the skills they need to rise above their situation. We are committed to protecting and honoring the basic human rights of all individuals by respecting their personal dignity. Our primary goal is to help improve quality of life and empower individuals to grow and thrive, like a rose through the cracks, and bring beauty back to their lives and communities. We believe economic poverty does not mean spiritual poverty. Being poor is not a curse, but a situation: a situation that can be risen above with help and determination.
We envision all people, across the globe, participating in society with an equal chance to succeed – regardless of location, race, gender or creed. We envision a world where children receive an education and the opportunities that education provides. We envision families and children living in safety and comfort with love and care. We envision a world where families can provide for themselves the necessities of life – shelter, clothes, food, and drink.
These ideals are that which lie at the core of the Domenica Foundation. They help to guide the Foundation in what it does, and how it does it. We seek to improve the quality of life of those in need while always honoring their dignity. We strive to embody these core beliefs in how we serve those in need. These following words, though simple as they may be, are what we hold to be most important. They are at the heart of what we do.
